Eastern Sierra Land Trust - Art for Conservation

4th annual Art for Conservation Show & Sale

G2 Gallery, Venice Beach, California

June 26 to August 6, 2012

Eastern Sierra Land Trust's fourth annual Art for Conservation Show & Sale will be held at the G2 Gallery in Venice Beach, California.

From William Henry Jackson to Ansel Adams to Galen Rowell, the Eastern Sierra has provided a continual source of inspiration for photographers seeking new frontiers and unforgettable vistas. But the region is also the location of working farms and ranches, provides wildlife with habitat and migration routes, and supplies Los Angeles with its clean drinking water. Permanently preserving these invaluable assets is the mission of ESLT. ESLT assists families to preserve their working farms and ranches, helps landowners protect the region’s critical habitats, and works with the entire Eastern Sierra community to offer the opportunity to connect with the land through field trips, seminars, and special outings.

Featured in the exhibit are seven photographers of note, all from the Eastern Sierra region. The photographers include Andy Selters, John Dittli, Londie Padelsky, Nolan Nitschke, Rick Kattelmann, Robb Hirsch, Stephen Ingram, and Vern Clevenger. All proceeds from the art sales will benefit the Eastern Sierra Land Trust.

The G2 Gallery is free and open to the public. Admission to special events, including artist receptions, is $5 at the door and will directly support environmental charities.

Meet the Artists

We are excited to announce the list of 2012 photographers! Our jury (two experienced gallery directors) was thrilled by the quality of work submitted by 27 photographers and had a very hard time choosing among the talented artists.  Through a blind viewing of all the photographers' submissions, they made their choices.

Take a moment to visit their websites and see their amazing work. Save the date to visit the G2 Gallery in person and meet the artists on June 30.
