Stargazing Night, Wednesday Oct. 1st 7:30pm
earth By preserving lands and working with landowners to minimize bright lights on our conservation easements, ESLT protects the region's dark skies that allow for the Eastern Sierra's spectacular view of the cosmos.   Join us for an evening in early September as we explore the starry scenery that darkness brings to the Ingram Conservation Easement.  This is an opportunity for folks of all ages and backgrounds to learn more about and share what they already know of the constellations in the late summer sky.  We'll meet at the firehouse on Willow Road in Swall Meadows.  From the firehouse we'll take a short walk to a viewpoint in our Ingram Easement.  Bring layers, a folding chair/blanket, and binoculars or a telescope (if you have them).   We'll meet at dusk at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 1st.

Directions: Take HWY 395 N from Bishop to Gorge Rd.  Turn left onto Gorge Rd. and make a quick right onto Lower Rock Creek Rd.  Follow for 6.6 miles to Swall Meadows Road.  Turn left onto Swall Meadows Rd. Follow Swall Meadows Rd. and turn left onto Willow Rd.  The firehouse is at 129 Willow Rd.  Be careful not to block the garage entrance in case of an emergency!
